Miroslav Třmínek

Since I was young I have enjoyed working with natural materials - wood, self-growth, wood carving. When I was deciding on my career choice, I was deciding whether to pursue artistic woodcarving or forestry. Forestry and hunting won out and I eventually graduated from the Secondary School of Woodworking in Volyn. Most of my professional life was spent working in construction and forestry. However, I always took up various handicrafts as a hobby and in later life I got hooked on antler and bone processing. Since 1975 I have been actively involved in hunting and nature, from which I draw inspiration.

For more than 20 years I have made hundreds of products with many motifs. My products are owned by many customers all over the world. Among them are VIPs - presidents and their wives, ambassadors, actors, sportsmen, etc.

With a number of carved motifs of various animals with 97 species I have entered the Czech Book of Records in Pelhřimov.

Several times my work has been reported in the magazine Myslivost, in regional and national press. I had the honour to be featured in the Czech Television programme - Thousand Years of Czech Hunting, on the internet television Hunter TV, etc. I am also a member of the Club of Authors at the CMMJ under whose patronage I usually exhibit.

I come from a hunting family and so hunting has been with me all my life.

I have had a hunting license since 1975 and have passed the higher professional hunting exam. All my hunting experience has been accompanied by rough-haired Dachshunds.

I have travelled to many countries from Europe to Africa and America for my hunting experiences.
